Belgium: The Land of French Fries

3.7. - 8.7.

Wow, we have already traveled through a whole country again!

The landscape was a bit bland at the border between Holland and Belgium, but it quickly changed after Brussels.

The hills started again in Wallonia. We went uphill and downhill to Luxembourg - uphill and downhill... FINALLY AGAIN :-)

We only saw Brussels briefly, but we liked it. The main square was really beautiful!

Almost every corner in Belgium has a 'Friterie', where you can get french fries. Of course, we had to try some - Result: SUPER delicious! No wonder the Belgians are known for it!

We also passed numerous cherry trees on our way through Belgium! So great! Of course, we stole a few.

One absolute highlight in Belgium was the World Cup soccer match between Belgium and Brazil! The public viewing was incredible. Such an amazing atmosphere! We naturally cheered loudly!

From now on, we are following the bike route 'Eurovelo 5' from Brussels to Strasbourg (via Luxembourg).
