From Koh Phangan to Koh Tao

Day 14 (20.03.2023)

The morning today was less cockroach-filled. Luckily. We slept properly for the first time. Well, until 10 o'clock. Since we had to check out of the hostel at 11 o'clock, we packed all our things and left them at the reception. After breakfast at 7-Eleven and some snacks for the upcoming trip, we first went back to the hostel and then to the pier on Koh Phangan. The ferry that would take us to Koh Tao was already waiting there. The impressions of this crossing can only be described by Ann-So, as Erik (as usual) slept through everything.

The journey took about two hours. A little girl amused the passengers with her ball and good mood. Behind Ann-So, a group of German girls gossiped without knowing that Ann-So also speaks German and understood everything. How could they, she couldn't chat with a sleeping Erik. Otherwise, the journey went without any special incidents.

Upon arriving at Koh Tao, we were taken to our hotel (Ban's Diving Resort) by a free shuttle service. For the first time, we didn't feel like backpackers because we treated ourselves to a 3-star hotel (cost: about €30 per night). There, we took a refreshing shower and slept. A welcome upgrade after the cockroach hostel.

We spent the rest of the day with Paula at the beach. We played Frisbee, went swimming, talked a lot, and saved her from her cringy Tinder date.

After the beautiful sunset, we watched a fire show by locals on the beach.

Before going to bed, we did some strength training.
