After spending quite a long time in the 'wilderness,' we decided to visit a larger city again. So, we headed to Dunedin. In Dunedin itself, besides the very, very stressful traffic situation, there was beautiful architecture to see. Additionally, Lena and I heard that you can see albatrosses and penguins a little outside of Dunedin. Of course, Lena and I wanted to see them and drove there. However, it turned out that it would cost $60 to see albatrosses and $28 to see penguins. 'Not with us,' we thought, 'even the Wilhelma is cheaper.' Therefore, unfortunately, there were no albatrosses and penguins to see. Since our brakes were squeaking and our tires looked quite worn out, we went to an auto repair shop once again. The brakes and tires were fine, but the resourceful mechanic found 2 holes in the exhaust pipe that he insisted on fixing. The fun cost us a whole $300, but at least we now have a flawless exhaust pipe.
After Dunedin, we continued to Omarama, where we could have seen penguins again. But in Omarama, it would have cost $28 as well. So, no penguins again. However, there was a very beautiful old town to see in Omarama.
After Omarama, we went to Omamata to see the so-called Clay Cliffs.
