I'm staying at home and doing nothing

Buga: 02.11.2017

Today it finally had to be: doing nothing and lazing around.

The day started with lots of sunshine and ended the same way :-)

After yesterday's visit to the sulphurous thermal baths, I slept wonderfully and felt like ending my vacation in a relaxed way.

A tour of Villa Velez was of course included. And so that you can get a closer look at my wonderful courtyard, which I have all to myself because there is no one else here, here are a few photos:

The left of the two doors is the entrance to my house. The dark clouds are from another day :-)

But indoors in my holiday apartment it is also very cozy. I would estimate that it is 60 square meters. Downstairs kitchen, living room and bathroom, upstairs. Upstairs bathroom, bedroom with double bed, next to it a very small room with 2 single beds. There is also only a very small window here, I definitely find the room too small and too dark for 2 children.
But for me alone it's perfect! Aside from the 2nd bathroom, which I wouldn't need of course...

The kitchen is also well equipped:

I didn't miss anything except for a garlic press. The wooden cross above the shelf with cooking pots made me smile. Who knows which 'experts' have already tried their luck here? Maybe sometimes before consuming the food it was necessary to look there in order to survive the evening??
All barbecue lovers would have also had their money's worth. There is a grill in the courtyard.

You can also sit very comfortably

You can also sit very comfortably and in the evening it's very cozy. I do handicrafts, read, make plans for the next day or listen to audiobooks.

Of course, only after a delicious meal:

Today there were fried prawns with garlic on tomato salad with shaved Peccorino.

And today there will definitely be baked eggplants :-) yes, from my own cultivation next door.

Now I'm looking forward to the journey home tomorrow.

I have experienced a lot of beautiful, impressive, interesting and pleasant things here and have firmly decided to explore the other half of the island on another vacation. Sicily is worth it!!

THANK YOU to everyone who has been reading along diligently and looking forward to the next report. Your comments here on the blog, but also privately, have brought me a lot of joy, and I also felt a little less alone on my travels.

See you soon at home and greetings from Sicily to all of you!
