Today I did a tour around Kampot. I visited the salt production at the sea, got shown the pepper cultivation, climbed a temple on the mountain, and visited a fishing village. It was interesting to see how the pepper is cultivated here and how it tastes before it is dried and fermented 👍. The temple was also very interesting, with various sculptures on the walls and a small temple built into the cave. Later, I took a ferry to Rabbit Island and explored the beach and the countryside. Everything is so overgrown, everything is green and flowering, and it looks beautiful. In the end, I visited a fishing village and saw how the fishermen prepare for their work. They loaded their nets onto the boats and packed some supplies. They said they were going 6km out to sea and then another 7-12km into the sea. There, they fish with their nets. They usually come back home in the morning. It is difficult to see these people working hard and long every day but not getting fair wages. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful day with many impressions.
