After 14 days and 3,800 kilometers driven, we reached Portugal and the Algarve. :-)
Today we drove 280 km from Rota, past Seville, towards Portugal. Sometimes sunny and then dense fog again on the way. There were many olive groves here and occasionally lemon and orange plantations.
Just after the border, there was a castle in a small village. If you know Rudolf, you know that we had to stop here and climb up. But it was worth it, the view down was great and so was the village. After returning, a cappuccino, unfortunately the flame of the gas stove was left on low and the glass plate folded down. After some time, there was a loud bang and we had glass shards spread all over the motorhome. We had experienced this before, but we thought it would only happen to us once (this time it wasn't me :-)), but unfortunately it was the second time. :-( After a big cleaning operation, we continued to the next town (Vila Real de Santo Antonio), to a parking space right at the river mouth. Absolutely beautiful!! We also really like the town. All small, beautifully paved alleys with nice little shops and cafes. No cars in this entire district. We will definitely stay here for more than one night. The weather is also great, sunny and 25 degrees. Due to crossing the longitude, we have now switched back to daylight saving time.
