Shopping Day

Today was Shopping Day. We wandered through the city center of Luque, but unfortunately, very little appealed to me. However, we found some cool shoes for Meche. 

Nevertheless, this part of the city is very interesting. Dangerous and dirty - but interesting. 

It is very difficult or dangerous to take photos with your smartphone in this neighborhood, so there aren't many. 

When we came to a market hall, I was able to buy homemade Paraguayan cigars. A very cheap pleasure. I thought she was talking about buying individual cigars, but she was talking about bundles. :-D

Here are some impressions of typical life in Paraguay. 

In the afternoon, we (Meche, Wilm, and I) went to a shopping center again. It opened just 2 years ago and is located right across from the Shopping del Sol where we were last. 

Since the shopping center is relatively high, you have a nice view from there. 

Unfortunately, this center is once again only intended for 1% of the population, the upper class. With European, sometimes even more expensive prices, few people shop here. Nevertheless, it is nice to look at.

Meche worked here at Zara Home during her studies, but couldn't afford anything from there. At least she knew there is the best ice cream parlor in the city. So we had to go there. 

In the evening, we were back at the hospital. No more pus!!!! =)  The lower bite was from the lower canine tooth and only affected the skin layers. It is healing very well. The doctor said I have a good immune system. 

The upper bite from the upper canine tooth, however, went through the flesh to the muscle, so it will take a little longer. But it also looks good there =)
