Early in the morning we went back to Brouwserdam. Here we wanted to have breakfast and spend a day at the beach. Some campers had the same idea before us, because the DAM was full.
But we still found a nice spot in the front row.
After a few hours, we continued our journey to Bruges in Belgium. It's supposed to be a beautiful town.
We only had about 2 hours of driving time and we decided to take a route off the usual main roads. We chose a route through the small villages... a good decision, because the area looks completely different here.
Our motorhome meandered through small villages and alleys, had to pass through narrow streets in residential areas, because there was a weekly market in the middle of the road. But everything worked out well.
Then we arrived in Bruges.
In the middle of the city there is a small parking space, but it was supposed to be quite tight. And it was, we couldn't even open the doors properly. Therefore, we decided to park on the adjoining bus parking lot. Other motorhome drivers had the same idea.
We found a wonderfully quiet place by the water.
Actually, we wanted to go into Bruges by bike, but the parking lot was very central and we decided to go on foot.
Bruges - a really great city!
Tomorrow we will continue, because we have a new destination. It will be a three-day ride. We have traveled through Germany, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, and BAVARIA. There is one more country that we really want to visit. Which one? The answer will be revealed in about 3 days.
So long!
Conclusion:
Bruges is great!
The fries weren't very tasty. We just had bad luck here.
You can walk for miles in sandals, but not in sneakers.
At 9:30 in the morning in Bruges, motorhome owners empty their waste water... waiting at the disposal point.
Waste water can sometimes smell.
