The rest day served us well, full of energy we sat in the car at 12:15 pm towards Kiruna, the last stop in Sweden. The drive was uneventful and we made good progress. The roads here are really great. Cruise control at 90km/h and it goes quickly. After 1 and a half hours we made a short stop at the Arctic Circle Center to celebrate crossing the Arctic Circle. From now on the sun will not set for the rest of the vacation.

Fun fact on the side 'We are now closer to the North Pole than to Vienna' Nevertheless, it is getting colder. At the level of the Arctic Circle, the car showed only 15C.

The landscape also changed. The forests became lighter, the marsh landscapes became more and the trees seemed smaller than further south. And then suddenly out of nowhere, 2 reindeer stood at the edge of the road and leisurely ate grass. That was exciting, first the moose and now reindeer. We reached the campsite at 5:30 pm a bit earlier than expected. Quickly set everything up and then we went to the campsite restaurant to eat something for simplicity's sake. It was great, I took the opportunity and ordered a reindeer steak and didn't regret it.

On the way back to the caravan, we discovered some excursion destinations for the next day at the reception. Let's see where we end up tomorrow.

By the way, it's shortly after midnight now and the sun really didn't set today.
