Flammable or non-flammable, that is the question

Buga: 13.10.2019

Waste separation is taken very seriously here in Japan. Before arriving, our Airbnb host had already informed us that we must follow the waste separation rules, otherwise we could face a penalty of 3,000 yen.

However, it's not so simple. For example, the city of Niihama has a 44-page guide on waste separation:

Fortunately, in Osaka we only need to differentiate between flammable, non-flammable, and recyclable waste.
