Now we are just at the border between Baden, Hesse, and Bavaria, we are near Wertheim.
Our campsite is really pushing my limits again, as I feel like I am in an oil sardine tin. The tent pegs of the cyclist feel like they are on the spot where I step out from Palumbi, it is very tight, crowded, and very loud. We hear the conversations of the neighbors for the first time in months, although I really don’t want to. Welcome to Germany....
This is now nasty, as the last two Campeggios were not like this at all, but here cyclists and other campers are together and it is really tight!
I can't deal with this for long anymore, but it is already too much for me, I realize that I have been really spoiled by GB and France, and even in the Netherlands, it was different at that one stop. Apparently, I am not as tolerant as I would like to be, on the other hand, the cyclists in the front tent are exactly within our dogs' comfort zone.....
This morning we were between the Main and Tauber, the hike was through fields and meadows into a forest. I have no pictures of the deer, but they were not exactly rare here either. It was a nice thing, only Nerone is usually not so relaxed when we encounter other dogs.
We had a relaxed round until Loki discovered the remains of a deer and wanted to eat some ribs plus a vertebrae. Christian wanted to prevent that, unfortunately, it backfired because I had to take him to a doctor's office after Loki didn’t want to give up the vertebrae.
The injury is in a stupid spot, Christian now has a booster for the tetanus vaccine and half a thumbnail, it has just turned out badly.
I would have liked to see Wertheim, but after Christian was really good only after the anesthesia, Wertheim and unfortunately also a school friend had to wait. I will catch up with my visit to her, that is already firmly planned!
Otherwise, the area here is very nice, it is quiet, (except at the Campeggio), the landscape is beautiful and inviting, the hikes and bike trails speak for themselves. A previously unknown part of Germany for me, which I want to see someday without so much fuss. High season is really cramped, I had to learn that again.....
