18.02.2023 - Sea day from Wewak to Makassar

Today was the first of four sea days.

The day went like many other sea days. We were on the upper deck around 6:30 a.m. for our morning walk. It is most pleasant at this time. After about half an hour, we saw a dark rain wall ahead of us, and a few minutes later it was pouring rain. We cut our morning walk short and went to breakfast.

Afterwards, there was a lecture about Indonesia, where our next ports are located.

Now it was already time for lunch. Today I took a few pictures of the buffet. It is beautifully arranged, everything in small bowls and dishes. The selection is overwhelming and the taste simply delicious.

In the afternoon, there was Merengue instruction, and then Ulrike went to another lecture, while I wrote a few lines and edited pictures.

At 6:30 p.m. there was a great pre-dinner show. One of the onboard singers delighted us with musical melodies. We really enjoyed that.

For dinner, we went to the INDOCHINE restaurant. It was excellent, but of course, too much again.

We skipped the evening show as there was a 'family game night', which is not really our thing.
