On 23 March 2023, our trip to Israel ended and we started our journey home.

In the morning, we left early, around 7:15, for the airport. It was good that we arrived several hours early because we had to wait at the airport for a long time.

After standing in line for 1 1/2 hours, with no one really knowing when and how the security checks would proceed, we passed the time by doing meditation exercises. Finally, after a good 3 hours, we made it through and then had to wait another 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours before boarding began. In the end, we all sat together on the plane. The highlight for some members of the group and also for the teachers was that Bela B, the drummer from Die Ärzte, was on our flight.

A last look out of the airplane window to say goodbye to Israel. It was quite sad because as a group, we had such a wonderful time together. But as you know, you fly home with mixed emotions and reflect on everything once again.

From Berlin airport, we took the train to Hannover.

Unfortunately, 2 suitcases did not make it to Germany. They wanted to enjoy a little more vacation. But a few days later, they also arrived, especially with their owners.

On the train, you could hear Frau Papproth and Frau Sicking laughing loudly as they read through the travel journal. It was delightful! Until the end, there was always something to laugh about and good spirits.

In Hannover, we all said goodbye to each other and went home.

Thus, an unforgettable, enriching, and beautiful trip to Israel came to an end, with many indescribable experiences that we will cherish in our hearts and minds forever.
