Next stop: Greece

The bus ride from Sofia to Thessaloniki was pleasant, very few people were on board. Unfortunately, the bus driver couldn't speak English, so we never knew what was going on - but it didn't matter, we always followed the other people from the bus. Arriving in Thessaloniki, we got off one station too early. Stranded at a bus station on the outskirts of Thessaloniki, we were desperate because the public transportation system is very complicated and only in Greek script. When we finally decided to take the bus at our own risk, the ticket seller helped us and we finally arrived at our accommodation with a little delay.

The next day, we walked through Thessaloniki, admired the graffiti and relaxed in a park and later by the sea. The plan was just to freshen up quickly and go to a bar. But then the surprise came - we overlooked booking the next accommodation. To spare you the details: that evening, we spent a whole 5 hours searching for and booking accommodations until our return journey, and getting annoyed about the expensive prices in Italy. At 1 in the morning, we finally set out to look for dinner.

Visibly exhausted from the evening and also relieved that we have this part behind us, we are now continuing to Athens.
