Rain, rain and more rain - unfortunately we didn't have the weather gods on our side today!
But we braved the weather as much as we could and still went on a day trip to Glacier National Park . Unfortunately, when we got there it rained even more heavily. So we quickly re-planned and instead of going on a trail lasting several hours, we went on several short “walks”. After each tour we were able to warm up and dry off in the car. So we drove to three different parking lots in the national park and walked a circular route there: the Rockgarden Trail , the Hemlock Grove Boardwalk and the Bear Creek Falls Trail .
And actually - on the Bear Creek Falls Trail the sky has actually slowly become a little brighter and the rain has eased.
On the way back to our lodge in Golden the sun even came through and we were able to end the day comfortably in the sunshine on the veranda with a glass of wine. Little by little, the other two couples who were also guests at the lodge returned home and Roger (one of the guests from California) served us all ice cream and soda.
