My final entry

Buga: 13.08.2017

Here I am again - one last time, because today, on 13.08., I'm flying back home!

6 instructive, exciting, and beautiful weeks in Brighton are behind me and I'm happy about every single experience I was able to collect here in every imaginable situation and about every person I met! Starting with the internship and my boss and temporary colleagues, all the way to my host family, my temporary 'roommates', and the nice people at the tennis club!

After working a half day on Friday and getting my certificates from the company and the organization that made this internship possible, I finally dared to visit the British Airways i360 in the evening - an observation tower that reaches a height of about 140 meters above Brighton! As always, there are photos attached!

Yesterday, Saturday, and therefore my last full day in England, there was - as already announced - another sports highlight. I went to the Athletics World Championships in London and was able to watch the morning session. Great weather, great atmosphere, a good seat, and everything else that goes with it made this day unique once again. After my arrival in London at around 9:00, I first went to the Arcelormittal Orbit, a tower about 80 meters high next to the Olympic Park, which you can ride up with an elevator and leave with a 180-meter slide, rappelling, or stairs/elevator. I was also able to take beautiful photos there before I made my way to the super-long queue in front of the stadium. I was able to see many disciplines of the men's decathlon, including 110-meter hurdles, discus throwing, and pole vault. There were also the 4x400-meter relays for men and women, as well as the 4x100-meter relays for both genders. You already know what that leads to... As part of the 4x100-meter relays, I was able to experience sprinting legend Usain Bolt live, which was the highlight of the day!

Once I arrived back in Brighton, all that was left for me was to finish packing my suitcase and today, Sunday, I'm taking the bus to Heathrow Airport at 13:15!

I don't want to write anymore because I can tell you the rest personally within the next few days! See you soon!
