It was simply beautiful and breathtaking. We started early at 6:00 and I was picked up by car. Then we drove a few minutes to the boat. In total, there were 4 Germans and our captain. It was bloody cold, really cold, and there was just nobody on the water. Eventually, we met some fishermen who were finishing work because they had been out on the water since 3:00. Due to the tranquility and the absence of other boats on the water, we were able to see and experience endless nature. Birds that were startled by us and flew away. Pelicans swimming through the water and the incredible size of the Danube as it finds its way through the land. Our captain also took us to a typical fishing village and we were allowed to look at everything there. In the end, we arrived at an almost deserted village. Once, 3600 people lived here, but today there are only 150. The village can only be reached by water, but it has a school for 6 students, no police, and the priest occasionally visits on Sundays to open the church. What a great start to the day.
