We made it! Exactly 2 weeks after the start of our journey, we crossed the border into Norway, in the heart of Lapland, at 7°C, rain, and spent nights with a sweater, sleeping bag, and thick blanket.

When driving from Sweden towards Norway, it looks like you're about to enter the kingdom beyond the mountains for eternity. Sweden's Lapland is relatively flat, as you could see in the photos, while the Norwegian mountains are completely covered in snow and remind us a lot of the Alps. The border crossing was actually quite uneventful. There was a Vegbom (in German: barrier), which is quite funny in Norwegian, on the small mountain road and a few signs. That's it. Crossing the border. Hej då Sverige, Hallu Norge!

Additional note from FloH:

After weeks of Swedish flatlands and Lapland's foothills, we now encountered the land beyond the mountains - Norway. Everyone knows how beautiful Southern Norway is, with its serpentine roads along the highest mountains and deepest fjords. North Norway seemed to be no less impressive. And so, after registering our car for Norwegian road use and looking for viewpoints on our drive to the Atlantic coast, we reached Saltstraumen, a place where the tidal currents are particularly strong and therefore good to observe. We had little to no sleep since the midnight sun provided a golden night.

The very next day, we drove to Bodø to take the ferry to the Lofoten Islands.
