Meet the Tenno in Tokyo

Buga: 17.04.2017

After an incredibly relaxing flight with JAL on the Boing-Dreamliner, we arrived in Japan. The plane was only one-tenth full, everyone had a row of seats. Perfect service and quality.

60 km from the airport to the hotel... what a challenge. Rain, no English signage...

A tiny room with high-tech toilet is now our home for 3 days. But in the middle of Shibuya.... Umbrella Corporation, we always kept an eye out for Milla. (For the movie buffs)

In Japan, you don't tip, it would be an insult to the waiter. Nice change of pace... after the North American 18% terror. konishiwa, aregato, hai, sayonara, sumimasen will be our new vocabulary...

Well then... bowing into the day... hai!

Shibuya Crossing, known from movies like Resident Evil or Lost in Translation, is a must-see. A huge intersection where pedestrians, even diagonally, rush at the same time. Up to 1500 people at peak times...

Otherwise, we're a little tired of the pavement and looking forward to the beach and sun in Dubai... There are just too many people out and about...

You can forget the Robot Restaurant... such a cheap show and 70€ entrance fee. Otherwise, we discovered beautiful corners, relaxing and exciting at the same time. Enjoyed the view of the city for free from the town hall (240m high). Ate Unagi and Kobe... met a Korean.

We won't be able to visit all the hotspots, 1 week in Tokyo would be better.

Tomorrow we're off to Dubai!
