When I came back from yoga this morning, there was a thick trail of blood from the front door to the kitchen. Everyone was oddly serious and Candida had red, teary eyes. Princessa got run over. She ran after another dog and a taxi promptly hit her hard. Kenner took her to the vet, and everyone thought she was dead. At noon came the news that she's alive, but it doesn't look good. If she survives the night, she will be operated on tomorrow. Poor little thing.
The new library is taking shape in the project. Last week, the absence of the children was used to work in peace. Part of Gloria's classroom was separated. It has no windows. Computers will also be housed here, and windows are a security risk. For this reason, it will have an air conditioning unit.
The weather remains unchanged: 33 - 34 degrees in the shade, 11 - 12 hours of sunshine, clear skies, little wind, and if there is any, it never comes from the cool north. That's how it stays until I leave.
