Today Porto is in full swing. On our way by bike we meet lots of joggers and from the middle of the route we see endless motorcyclists. They don't care about speed limits and they thunder past us at breakneck speeds of over 100 km/h. We meet them all again under the cable car. We find out that they meet here every Sunday morning!

Once again we let the cable car swing us up and then explore the historic city center on foot. Again and again we discover new views of beautiful buildings, churches decorated with Ajulejoz and idyllic streets. Some things still need to be renovated and huge construction sites force us to take detours, but that doesn't detract from the overall impression. We are just impressed. The Lello bookstore is of course also on our list of places to visit. It's unbelievable how many people squeeze through the rooms within the booked time slot. But it was worth it. After a small snack we go down to the bank and a small ferry takes us back to our bikes. We cycle back along the Douro, drink another coffee and eat delicious pastries. After a short siesta we cycle to Mare e Vista, a restaurant on the beach, and have a delicious meal while watching a romantic sunset.

A wonderful day in a city that is worth a visit!
