First impressions of New York

I have to admit that the approach to New York was already very impressive. Luckily, I had a window seat on the plane and had the best view of New York from above.

Furthermore, I find it relatively 'rural' here in Brooklyn, even though we are in a huge city. Some houses also remind me of the TV series 'Desperate Housewives'. I somehow imagined New York to be much more urban and massive.

By the way, I never expected it to be so insanely hot in New York (Sorry honey, it's 'insanely warm'!). It was 34 degrees during the day and because of the humidity, it felt like Egypt, especially because it doesn't cool down properly in the evenings and it's really humid. Hopefully, I can sleep well tonight in this heat. I'm already super excited about tomorrow: we're taking the bus and subway to Manhattan and going to Times Square. Of course, I will also report on that.
