Today there are mountains! They are so beautiful and easy to discover, just look to the left. It's also good for my neck muscles to look to the right sometimes. Hopefully, I haven't missed too many mountain panoramas in the last few days.
What is the little family with their daughter on dad's shoulders doing? Are they on their way to Sophie's birthday party?
On my daily stages, I often stop, turn around, and see how beautiful it is behind me. I mean, that's how life is too, that's why I take so many photos. When I look at our many photo books - most of which Monika has designed, with the huge task of selecting suitable ones from countless pictures - I see our great past, I am grateful and feel comfortable. So --- keep pressing the shutter button. I'm already looking forward to the photo book about the 'Camino'. I'll probably have to design it myself.
The remaining part of the stage is challenging, it goes steeply uphill. Priesca, my destination for today, consists of 5 houses, a church, and the hostel. The hostel is simple but extremely tastefully furnished by Rossa, the owner. Judging by the pictures on the walls, she has also traveled a lot in the world, as a backpacker, on foot or by bicycle.
She speaks Spanish, no English, and I speak a little English and no Spanish ------ but it doesn't matter, we understand each other anyway, and the peace here is enjoyable.
No evening stroll today.
