The captain's timing was perfect once again... As we entered the fjord, the sun rose and the full beauty of New Zealand's nature was revealed. The whole atmosphere was mystical due to the deep fog over the water.
There was a New Zealand commentator on board who was connected via screen from the bridge and talked a lot about the sounds. Among other things, there is bad weather here 200 days a year and you can't see anything of the surroundings... How lucky I am... 👌☀️☀️
One mountain ridge follows the other and you see completely untouched nature. No one lives there... just vegetation growing on the rocks. Green from the top to the water surface, there was still snow on one mountaintop facing east.
I saw colonies of seals on the small rocks and in the bays. Orcas and humpback whales pass through here. Albatrosses sailed alongside us. 🐳🐬🦭🐟
With every frame I thought, this simply can't be topped and 30 seconds later an even more fantastic sight presented itself.
It was simply breathtaking..... Once again I stood at the railing with my mouth open...
