Day 4 Koh Phangan

Buga: 23.02.2023

This morning I woke up with a nice swollen eye. Thanks to this stupid mosquito.

So pretty

We were then picked up at 7:30 am (even on time) by a bus and taken to Krabi. From there, we took another bus to Surat Thani to catch the ferry to Koh Phangan.

Yes, bus rides are really exciting

Last transfer - off to Phangnan

At the port, we saw a dolphin from the ferry. I was super excited, but it quickly became clear that the little one wasn't doing well. We suspect he got blurred. Poor baby..

Dolphin ❤️

We arrived in Koh Phangan around 5 pm. It didn't feel as long as it took overall. From the pier, we took a shared taxi to the hostel. Absolute hell ride 😅 steep hills up and down, 180-degree turns, roads that no one in Germany would drive on, all at a speed that makes you feel like you're on a roller coaster 🙈 but in the end, we safely reached our hostel and treated ourselves to a cold cola

After that, we went to the beach and had dinner at a bar and treated ourselves to a beer. By the way, dinner always costs around €3 here.

Chicken sweet and sour with rice
Chang beer

After dinner, we explored the area and ended up on Haad Rin Street. We then strolled around until we reached the beach again and then returned to our hostel.

Nice for an evening stroll

What many might know, but still looks wrong at first, is the moon here. The crescent moon isn't on its side but lying down. It just looks like it fell over 😅
