Good morning from Portugal!
So we have been in sunny Portugal for over two weeks now.
We entered here from Budapest without any problems or controls.
For the first few days, we spent a quiet time in Porto in the north of the country.
After the road trips through Sweden and Serbia, we were glad to spend some time without doing anything every day.
After a week in Porto, we decided to rent a large apartment directly on the Algarve together with several acquaintances that Michi met during the lockdown in Kuala Lumpur through an online course.
So we spent a great week in Luz together with Karo, Oskar, Kristian and Lukas.
In addition to countless sunbaths by the pool, we spent a lot of time on the great beaches and enjoyed Karo's brilliant cooking every evening.
Michi started his first surf course during this time (it was definitely not his last) and together with Kristian we explored the indescribably beautiful landscape of the west coast by scooter for a day.
Our plan for Portugal is to find a job for the next 1-2 months to improve our travel fund.
However, the country is already suffering from a severe economic crisis due to the corona pandemic. In addition to the lack of tourism and thus many unemployed people, severe forest fires in the Algarve in June have made many people homeless.
Therefore, we have decided to spend another week in Lagos together with Karo, Oskar and Lukas, and from there plan what possibilities are available to us.
We will see where we will end up in the end - so stay tuned!
See you soon and sunny greetings from Portugal!
