from the southernmost point to the westernmost point of the Canada trip
After a truly royal breakfast in the best English setting, the journey continues. On the drive through the southernmost part of Victoria, the splendor of the stately houses is revealed. All of them in this unmistakable English country house style with large and very well-kept gardens all around. The crowning glory is Craigdarroch Castle. With enough money, you can check in there...
The journey first takes you to MacMillan Provincial Park with its ancient trees and rainforest-like structure. Further on to beautiful lakes with crystal clear water and partially snow-capped mountains to the Pacific Rim. You can reach Tofino at the very end of the island group via Port Alberni.
A visit to Long Beach is planned on the way. There is a lot of old driftwood here, waiting to decompose naturally...
A short walk to the harbor in Tofino, combined with grocery shopping, rounds off the day, and then the journey back to Port Alberni, where an overnight stay is booked.
