Hello everyone!
Today was the change of our accommodation on the program. We were supposed to be ready at 12 o'clock, then our host wanted to take over the house and drive us to the next destination. But in the morning we wanted to stop by a larger store. We still needed a few things that you can't get on the street or in supermarkets: electric razor, epilator, and a micro SD card for the drone. Well... The only thing we got was the razor. We could have gotten the SD card too, but it was ridiculously overpriced, so we decided to wait a little longer. We packed everything in the house and the host (45 minutes early) was already at the door. Everything went smoothly and he took us to the Micky Monkey Beach Resort as agreed.
The upgrade to the bungalow was really worth it! Just that is an adventure! It's barely bigger than a bed and completely made of bamboo. The toilet is located in a small shack next to the bungalow together with the shower. The jungle feeling without a jungle quickly spreads here!
First, we went to the beach to fly the drone. There are hardly any tourists here! It's incredible how empty the beach was!
We also found out that one of the most famous beaches in the world (Nai Yang Beach) is right next to us. It's not famous for its beauty or because it's one of the cleanest, no... It's famous because the airplanes in the landing approach fly so close to it that you think you can touch them. We wanted to see that! But since both of us already had a little sunburn from yesterday, we decided to wait a little longer. We had a delicious meal and a Mojito in our resort. Suddenly, we noticed that the sunset was in 40 minutes. Since we also wanted to take photos, we were absolutely dependent on the sunlight! We took a "Grab" (which is like UBER, in other words, a cheap way to order a taxi online) and set off immediately. In terms of light, it would have been a close call, but the planes didn't land, they all took off just as we arrived. When some planes did land, they approached the airport from the other side and it was already dark. When taking off, you never have the same effect of proximity, as the planes pull away immediately... So all the stress was for nothing... However, we decided to come back another time, after all, we have more than just one week - and we wanted to make up for the night in the tent anyway.
After realizing that it wouldn't happen today, we sat down in the sand and just enjoyed being here a little longer. We started walking around 8:30 p.m. Initially, we thought about taking a tuk-tuk... Kevin then said, "oh, or we could just walk back". In that moment, I could have killed him... But after 1 hour and 15 minutes, we arrived back at the resort soaking wet and sweaty. Once we arrived there, it was actually quite funny and a great idea :)
We had a quick drink, took a shower, and now we're sitting right on the beach, our feet in the sand, writing to you.
Tomorrow Roman and Tiziana will arrive. They are already on the plane :)
It will definitely be exciting, so:
See you tomorrow ;)
