Koitiata, the forgotten beach

Today we went from Wanganui towards Wellington. On the way there, we decided to make a little stop at the aforementioned 'Koitata Beach'. The beach is located less than 30 minutes away from Wanganui.

When we arrived, we initially thought we were lost because there were no 'parking lots' to be found. We asked a local and he told us, 'Just park at the neighbor's'. So that's what we did and we walked towards the beach.

The beach is a nature park. It is immediately filled with hundreds, maybe even thousands, of weathered tree trunks. They extend along the entire length of the beach. We found a football, a 'bone', and many other objects. Some of the objects looked as if they had been here for several decades.
