Helloooooo Aaaaaan ❤❤❤
Admittedly, when I arrived, I didn't yet know how much I would fall in love with this little town and especially the people I would meet there... That's why I initially only booked one night... and ended up staying for 4 🤪
But let's start from the beginning. My plan was to arrive in Hoi An around noon, have a leisurely lunch, and then see what the rest of the day would bring... However, 'unfortunately,' there was a pool party starting at 2 pm at the partner hostel of my accommodation and I had nooooooo chance of escaping it 😂
So I quickly put on my bikini and off I went... 😁 On the way there, I thankfully managed to make a quick stop at a 'Ban Mi' shop... for those who don't know: Ban Mi = crispy baguette, filled in various ways, basically the Asian Subway 😂.
I took the sandwich to-go so I wouldn't miss out on the beer happy hour at the pool 😂
Unfortunately, this is the only existing photo from this party, as the beer quickly took over, thanks to beer pong and other games... 😅 I had the opportunity to meet so many nice people during the pool party... Thank you for that 🙏🏽
As expected, the evening was rather short, but I still managed to visit the local night market with some people from the party 😌👌🏽
The next day, together with 4 people from my hostel, I went on a Coconut Boat Tour 😁
As you can see, there was a loooooot of jewelry 😂 it was really impressive how quickly they made it all..😳
Once we reached open waters, we could watch some fishermen in action 🐟
But the best part was when the Asians on the other boats actually started singing karaoke 😂😂 It was hilarious and of course we had to join in 😂
Here's the complete Dutch-North Korean-German group again 😁🇳🇱🇰🇵🇩🇪
At the end of the tour, we were able to go crab fishing 🦀 I even caught one! 🤓
Really a great trip!!!☺️
Back at the hostel, we decided to visit our trusted Ban Mi shop once again 🤤 Underneath the glass top of the tables, you could slide in a passport photo and thus leave a lasting memory 😁 can you find me? 🤓
While eating, we met a Swede who spontaneously joined us for our next destination, the Thac Suoi Mo Waterfall. 🇸🇪💪🏼
We actually had the entire waterfall to ourselves... 😍
Of course, I had to start climbing again and almost couldn't get down... 😅
Unfortunately, it got dark way too quickly, so we made our way back 🛵
Although the activities of the day weren't anything special, this day was one of the most beautiful of my entire trip because of the amazing people around me. I am endlessly grateful for all the wonderful people I get to meet every day 🙏🏽💗
But the day was far from over... Since we had 2 Dutch people in our team and it was their King's birthday that day, we had to celebrate, of course 🤓 But for this plan, we had to fuel up first....
ITS SUSHI TIME!!!!🤤
At first, I thought our 2 Dutch friends were just looking for an excuse to party, but nooooo... almost the entire city was celebrating this birthday... (small side note: how is it even possible that every other person I meet is Dutch? I mean... with a population of only 17 million, at least half of all Dutch people must be traveling in Asia 😂😂😂)
The party was definitely insane 🥳
The next day, we only had rehabilitation measures in store... meaning good food and, of course, MASSAGES!!😁
... only so we could go to the next party in the evening... 🥳😁💪🏼
The Neon Party was one of my highlights of Hoi An 😍 Even though the colors melted off during the dancing and we had a... water accident in the end...😅
The following day, many people from our group sadly had to continue their travels... only Cindy🇳🇱 and I remained... But hey, that meant we could soon have a cozy girls' day 😌
During the day (or what was left of it... we slept until the afternoon 😅), we went for a manicure and pedicure, and then to an Italian restaurant 🤤
In the evening, we decided to take it easy for once and went to the night market 😊
And in the end, we even managed to join a very touristy but still wonderful boat tour through Hoi. 😍
During the ride, we were allowed to set a lotus flower-shaped lantern on the water and make a wish... I'll just say this: My wish already came true ☺️
Especially on the water, you could see why Hoi An is known as the city of lights and lanterns...
Thank you so much, dear Cindy, for letting me share these moments with you 😍
The next day, I paid a little visit to the beach in Hoi An before heading to Nha Trang....
