Our next overnight stay was again on a campsite, this time in a very special place, with a magnificent view and an adventurous approach: Meat Cove
This unique campground is located at the top of Cape Breton, a detour away from the Cabot Trail, the last few kilometers alternating between asphalt and gravel roads, curves left and right and up and down, cliffs down to the ocean right next to the road.
But it was immediately clear upon arrival that the roller coaster ride was definitely worth it. Meat Cove Campground is a small campsite right at the cliffs, a little sloping and terraced, so that everyone has a great view of the ocean. This also makes it very windy, which woke me up several times at night.
