The pictures say it all - we were at the beach :). After it was clearly too busy for us in Nilaveli, we chose a small beach on the south coast where there were maybe only 10 people around most days. Our guest house was slightly elevated and we had an amazing view of the sea during breakfast. So we spent very cozy days here, where we could cool off in the ocean. Although it was sometimes too turbulent, and we used the pool at the guest house as an alternative - even though we had to be afraid that a coconut would fall from a palm tree onto our heads. Unfortunately, the peace at the beach also had the disadvantage that the few existing restaurants demanded outrageous prices for their rice with curry, but you can't always have everything. It was still very very beautiful.
