2. A Day in Seville

Publié: 28.10.2024

On Monday, I slept in really late. I was in bed until about 10 o'clock. I was in a 6-bed room, and three more people came in late at night, making a bit of noise, but I'll get used to that again. I actually slept really well, and there was a proper bed sheet. Sometimes, in public hostels, you get paper disposable bed covers, which isn’t ideal for sleeping well. I got up around 11 o'clock, went to Decathlon, and grabbed a waist bag there. Let’s see how that works out. Then I accidentally discovered a cheesecake shop, and even though it was still breakfast time, I got a cheesecake with pistachio cream that was truly heavenly. After that, I wandered through the city and checked out a lot of churches, but I wasn’t really interested in a guided tour. Then I ordered a coffee and simply observed the happenings around me. I enjoy doing that in unfamiliar places, and I have no problem sitting somewhere alone. Then I got hungry and went in search of a good burger place and found one again. It’s called Local Burger, and they have really cool burger creations. I got one with pistachio cream and bacon, and they asked about the doneness, and from that moment on, I knew the burger would be delicious. The bun was large compared to the meat, but fluffy and very sweet. Everything harmonized well, and I was very satisfied. After that, I went to the water and checked where my Camino would start tomorrow, so I wouldn't get lost. Then I went back to my accommodation and rested. Around 5 PM, I went out again. And I must say: The city is really beautiful, but unfortunately far too crowded with people. I’m currently sitting in the city by a fountain and thinking about whether everything will go well tomorrow, even though rain is forecasted, but I am optimistic about it...
