Tree of Tule

Publié: 22.01.2020

I wanted to take the day a little calmer and for the first time I was able to have the included breakfast of the hostel, which starts at 8:30 am. After that, I comfortably made my way to Tule, by now I'm getting along quite well with public transportation in Oaxaca.

The main square of Tule consists of a beautiful, well-kept garden and turns the place into a quiet, peaceful paradise. From afar, I could already see the huge tree that is over 2,000 years old. I walked around the tree once and wandered around the garden a bit until I finally returned to Oaxaca by shared taxi.

In the evening, I first met Dan and Erin from the previous day and we went together to a Mezcaleria, where each of us tried 3 different Mezcal drinks. Mezcal is a very typical liquor in Oaxaca, with an alcohol content between 45 and 48%. So, my face cringed a few times. Afterwards, we had Tlayudas for dinner and Jhovanny joined us as well. It was a very funny evening!
