After arriving at London Heathrow Terminal 5, I proceeded to the check-out. Since I was entering this airport for the first time, it was not very easy for me to find my way around. I just wanted to pick up my suitcase, but I had to go through passport control. As luck would have it, at this airport the ID card is not accepted for entry, but the passport must be presented instead. So I had to look for my passport in my carry-on luggage. (Luckily, there are mothers at home who remind you to take your passport with you even though you are in Europe. Thank you, Mom!)
Finally, I got to my suitcase and was able to take it with me. But now I had to find my driver.
I didn't think it would be a big deal, but how do you really find a driver at one of the biggest airports in the world?
It turned out not to be as difficult as I thought. I then found about 200 drivers with signs and names in the arrivals hall. Of course, I immediately found my name, because where else is this last name of mine known other than in Switzerland?
