From Nha Trang to Hoi An

Publié: 10.12.2018

Today we have completed the longest train journey of our life.

At 7 PM, we left the hostel and headed to the night train, which started with a slight delay at 8:30 PM. 9-10 hours later, we should arrive in Hoi An. The comfort in the train was similar to the last one, just a little quieter this time - maybe we've gotten used to it...? - and less bumpy. So we slept quite well. When we woke up, the train was stationary, which is not uncommon given the number of stops. However, what was unusual was that the train had already been stopped for a few hours and was still standing.

Due to heavy rainfall - it's currently rainy season in the middle of Vietnam - there were problems with the tracks.

And it took until it was fixed. Overall, our train journey lasted 24 hours!!!!

But we got complimentary breakfast and lunch.

Our lunch... rice, pork, boiled salad, hard-boiled egg, and fish sauce

Now we are in Hoi An and hoping for good weather.

Wow Jakob, 24 Stunden Zug...
