I don't have a lot to say about Split. By that point I was running on fumes,  three weeks of moving around will do that to you. It's a fun party city with a solid old town, and the beach strip with all the bars and sports facilities had a good energy to it. The highlight was the boat party we booked one night, they took us out on the water, bounced us around to a few bars that were pretty dead, but none of that really mattered. It was a hilarious night and a genuinely great way to close out the trip with the fellas.

Getting back to Maastricht after all of that felt so nice. I hadn't been back since before Tomorrowland, and there's something about returning to your own bed, your own space, your own routine that travel doesn't prepare you for how much you'll need it. It resets something in you. Makes the whole thing sustainable. Of course, I was leaving again in a couple of days for another two-week trip, but for the moment, it was enough to just be home.
