Mexico - Trip to the Island of Holbox - Part 2

Publié: 24.05.2018

After admiring the nature around the island, we continued to the main island.

Holbox

We explored this with golf carts. It was quite adventurous with these machines. The steering was heavy, there was no brake at all :D But it was definitely fun and there was a lot to see along the way. We also stopped at the port to take some photos. Then the drive took us directly past the beautiful beaches of Holbox. If you want to vacation here, you probably have to be a little better off!

After the tour, we were all hungry. Fortunately, we had lunch at a restaurant near the beach. Luke had freshly caught fish, but I can't be very excited about that. After we had strengthened ourselves, there was still some time for a few photos before we left the island by boat.

Gulf of Mexico

The trip was not over yet. Our last stop took us to the Gulf of Mexico. At Holbox, it combines with the Caribbean Sea. There we found a nice spot in the shallow water and spent some time there. But you could immediately see the difference to the gold and the Caribbean Sea: the Gulf was much cloudier and a little cooler.

After we had rested and emptied our tequila supplies at this beautiful place, we made our way back to the port, from where we were taken back to our hotels.

Conclusion

This excursion with Aledia Tours was again a special experience. It was very beautiful, with many new impressions, amazing nature, and wonderful beaches. So basically everything :) The highlight was definitely the sighting of dolphins! I really wanted to see some, and that wish came true today. So we could happily and tiredly fall into bed and look forward to our last tour with Aledia.
