Hello everyone,
This will be my last post for today. It's "already" 9:30 a.m. here and I'm pretty exhausted after another eventful day and am looking forward to a little rest in the van.
There is basically nothing special to say about my two stops on the way back from the Albatros Center to the campsite. I can let the pictures speak for themselves:
As you can see in the pictures, the weather was still cloudy with a few showers and so for once I enjoyed just looking at the beach from the viewpoint and not walking the entire path. Also, Sandfly Beach is a completely sandy beach and you know that I'm not particularly fond of that. So I continued on to the slightly more famous Tunnel Beach.
The entrance to the actual Tunnel Beach is a staircase carved out of stone that leads to a small section of beach where I don't really want to swim, as the tides and currents have already led to more than one accident here. The view is very beautiful, though, and my inner climber was of course happy to romp around on the rocks and do a little climbing.
The weather was perfect for visiting this beach, as the waves and the swell really set the scene.
The weather was supposed to improve the next day, so I thought I'd take a closer look at downtown Dunedin. There's also a Starbucks there, and I think I was 8 or 9 posts behind at that point.
More about my Dunedin tour in the next post,
Until then, hugs,
Your Britta
