No, I don't mean the super cool pick-up truck that showed up at our hotel one evening. Although; that was pretty awesome!
Just for an idea of the size: the hood is flush with my SHOULDER!!! The head is at the level of the side mirrors, which means I would just be able to look into the car through the side windows, or see if I have luggage loaded on the bed. Stretching my hands and I can reach the roof rails. UN-BE-LIEV-ABLE and AWESOME!!! Want it!!! :-)
Specs for the petrol fans among us:
6.7 liter V8 turbo diesel
446 PS
1150 Nm torque
AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Where was I? Oh yes; got me. No, physically got me. Top temperature so far is 38 degrees Celsius - in the shade!
Then you're sweating in the air-conditioned car, hotel or elsewhere and BAM - there's the cold. Spent Saturday and Sunday in the hotel bed, blowing my nose with a family pack of tissues. I have medication with me, but stuff for a cold??? Uh no, I hadn't really thought about that.
But still got myself together on Sunday evening, rodeo in Fort Worth was on the agenda. It had to work somehow. And it did. Just barely.
Fort Worth is AMAZING! A city that still passes as a western city. Western stores, BBQ, boot stores - it's all there.
The rodeo was cool too. Indoor, about 1000 spectators. Everything was there:
Horse riding,
Break Away Calf Roping (including female cowboys)
, Barrel Race
, Sheep-catching games for children and finally Bull Riding.
(I got that picture...)
Then on to the AT&T Stadium, where the Dallas Cowboys play their regular season games. Holy moly, what a bowl. I claim that the Bayern Allianz Arena could easily fit in there twice. I have never seen such a large sports arena before.
Then I continued my burger tour; Del's Charcoal Burgers.
You should try the Double Cheese with Bacon here. Said, done!
Did I promise too much? After that, the cold was also gone, Texas has me again - my own fault!
