After a restful night, it was not easy for me to pack everything up again and motivate myself for the 12:30 ferry. The ferry from Melbu to Fiskebol took me to the Lofoten Islands. I had heard a lot about the beautiful nature, but also that it would be particularly crowded this year. At around 1 pm, I set off on my bike, the first of nearly 200km across the Lofoten Islands. The scenery was similar to the first two days, with cloudberries in the meadows, sunshine, and few clouds in the sky. Despite a late start and long breaks, I managed to cycle 95km to a breathtaking bay with views of the open sea at the northern tip of Kvalnes Island. I quickly found a spot for my tent on the empty meadow and my meal was ready just in time for sunset. The temperatures dropped significantly overnight, so I took hot water in my drinking bottle into my sleeping bag.
