Yesterday we were primarily occupied with returning to Perth, cleaning and returning the vehicle, and finally flying to Adelaide. We landed there just before 11 p.m. We could only take a taxi to the hotel. The Adelaide Adina Apartment Hotel Treasury made a good impression. We had a room facing the courtyard. Despite the hotel's absolutely central location, it was very quiet all night long.
In the morning at 8 o'clock we took a taxi to the new landlord and loaded up the vehicle (motorhome). This is now done very coordinatedly, we already have experience with that. After a small breakfast in Adelaide's "Harbour Town" we did our shopping at Aldi and Woolworths for the next 3 weeks. Fresh products are still supplemented on site.
The taxi driver assured us that the weather was fantastic here last week. But South Australia welcomes us with clouds, strong winds and occasional raindrops. That's why we will continue driving and doing laundry in the bad weather.
For the night we will be staying at Hummocks Station, a farm with a campsite. It's nice and rustic here and above all quiet. Only the wind makes quite a music.
We were quite sorry to say goodbye to Western Australia, not least because of the great vehicle. And the "switch" from one state to the next always takes quite a bit of time. On the other hand, it feels like a "new" vacation again. Just a shame that the "old" one was so beautiful...
