The 'Cat Meeting' was great!
When we finally arrived on Friday evening (Good Friday), our group colleagues had already ordered pizza for everyone. A great team!
We had reserved 13 spaces at the motorhome parking lot 'Hobbywiese' in Korbach-Meineringhausen. The site operator, Mr. Müller, was incredibly nice and helpful. Bread service, shuttle service, grill provided, always ready to help. The best was the 'Tenne', a converted barn, very cozy, with a stove that Mr. Müller always heated up nicely for us, with tables, benches and chairs, with a fully equipped kitchen and chilled drinks. Ideal for our group meeting. 😄
On Saturday, we rode our bikes into Korbach (6km), a very beautiful old Hanseatic town. There we participated in a guided city tour. Afterwards, we treated ourselves to the first ice cream of the year outdoors 🍨☀️
In the evening, we grilled together, chatted, and drank...
On Sunday, some of us gathered in the 'Tenne' for a communal Easter breakfast. We seamlessly transitioned into a coffee drinking session, with a cake buffet that was almost as big as the grill buffet the night before 😋. In the evening, we had a table reserved at the 'Gasthaus Kesting'. The food was hearty and delicious. When I read this, I get the impression that we spent the whole Sunday eating 😂😂😂
Monday was then the general departure. Everyone agreed: That was so nice, we'll do it again next year! We had a lot of fun!
When we said goodbye to Mr. Müller and settled the bill, we left a small tip on behalf of the group. He clearly didn't expect that. He was very happy and spontaneously hugged us. I think he has taken our crazy group a little bit into his heart 😆
