Venice/Mestre - Venice

THANK YOU

  Although we arrived at our destination Venice-Mestre yesterday, something is still missing: Firstly our impressions of this very special city and then a final sentence (really now).

We wanted to experience Venice and St. Mark's Square (almost) all to ourselves. Therefore, the alarm clock went off early and after a bus ride with commuters, we stood in front of the cathedral at 8:00 am and were truly amazed. What splendor and what spaciousness... we were even in the Doge's Palace before the groups arrived and could enjoy it. When it started to fill up, we took the vaporetto on the Grand Canal and finally to the island of Murano with its glass art. That was the right decision, as it is beautiful and original there. Now we have a few more days to explore more:)

We would like to thank everyone who kept their fingers crossed for us and accompanied us through the blog for our undertaking. That was a good feeling. We would do it again with you!!
