Vic is a city and municipality in the northeast of the province of Barcelona, in Catalonia (Spain, Europe). It is the capital of the comarca of Osona (one of the most beautiful comarcas in all of Catalonia with a total of 42 municipalities covering an area of 1245.2 km²) and it is also the head of the judicial district, being the judicial party no. 5 of the province of Barcelona.

It has a population (according to INE data from 2023) of 48,364 inhabitants and an area of 30.92 km².

The beautiful Cathedral of Vic, consecrated to Sant Pere (Saint Peter), dates from between 1140 and 1180.
