Tag 192 - Stopover in Manila

Hello everyone

Today our journey continued towards 'Vietnam'.

We were allowed to stay in the room until 12 o'clock again - that seems to be somehow usual here, but really awesome! We got ready in peace, packed everything and finally checked out.

We made a short stop at the bar (Pumpstation) next door and said goodbye to the bartender 'Franz'. A really great person, with whom we had a few chats here.

If you ever come to the island, treat yourself to a drink there - they're really great!

Finally, we treated ourselves to a really unhealthy, but soooo delicious lunch in our Mexican favorite restaurant 'Olé'.

We continued to the harbor and straight onto the ferry. Once again, we were very lucky and didn't have to wait ten minutes until the boat set off. We took the tricycle (a three-wheeled motorcycle) for the last part to the airport and were lucky there too with a stay of just under an hour.

After another hour of flying, we reached Manila and spent a long time in traffic with the taxi. We made it to the hotel at 7 p.m. It's not really a hotel... but an apartment in the middle of a huge complex of locals. It looks like we're right in the slums... Our door has three locks! But our host welcomed us warmly, showed us around the apartment and emphasized several times that we can contact him at any time if we have a request. In addition, we have to leave for the airport again at 3 o'clock in the morning. Our host offered to drive us there. We gratefully accepted his offer! There's a McDonald's and a 7Eleven next to us, we won't move far away.

Since we have a longer flight tomorrow than today, we will take care of today's pictures then :).
