Day 1: Auckland - Orewa

23rd & 24th January 2019

1. Flight Cairns - Brisbane: 2h15, breathtaking views of the coast and the Great Barrier Reef

2. Flight Brisbane - Auckland: 3h, delicious dinner at sunset

Unpleasant start in New Zealand: 3 nectarines for the price of 400 dollars 😣

Short stay at the hotel as we arrived after midnight, but tiptop

Jucy rental: busy, less professional, older model with some signs of age, but cheaper...

Visit a shopping center, get camping equipment and thoroughly test deck chairs even though we can't really afford this luxury 😉

Not so pleasant discovery: New Zealanders have several days off due to a public holiday, so the camping sites are full and extra expensive. At least the beach is amazing.
