Publicado: 13.07.2021

In Amelinghausen we first headed to the parking space "Kronsberger Heide". From there we wanted to explore the town and go for a hike.

So we set off through the forest towards the Oldendorfer Totenstatt. We walked through the forest along the banks of the Lopau.

On the grounds of the Oldenauer Totenstatt you can see Stone and Bronze Age graves.

The "Hünenbett" was surrounded by 108 boulders and was 80 meters long.

On this sunny day, we had the whole area to ourselves.

We walked back through the forest.

Along the way, we passed a beautiful pond. Like many other places along the trail, there were picnic spots here that invited us to take a break.

In the afternoon, we went to Lake Lopausee and enjoyed an ice cream with a view of the lake in the warm weather.

From there, we continued on to Amelinghausen. We actually wanted to get a map for a historical city tour at the tourist information office next to the town hall.

Unfortunately, the tourist information office was already closed. So we had to make do with a very rough plan from a board.

We found some of the historical buildings that way, but eventually gave up on the idea and decided to go for pizza instead.

We then walked back along the banks of Lake Lopausee.
