The weather forecast for today was bad, so we planned museum visits.
However, on the way there, we first passed by the Lego Store, which, since we were already in Denmark, we naturally decided to visit.
Inside, there was everything the heart of a Lego building child or adult could desire and we were fascinated by all the Lego sets you can buy...
The store is located right next to the entrance of Tivoli, which, however, would only reopen in a week after the winter closure.
So we could only take a look through the fence at the amusement park as we walked around it.
Then we reached the National Museum, which we wanted to visit first today.
On several floors, there are exhibitions on Danish history from the Stone Age to the present.
There was a lot going on overall, several groups of children were there, maybe celebrating a birthday here and accompanied by relatively annoyed-looking adults...
On the upper floor, there was also an exhibition on ancient Greece and Egypt, because a Danish king once created a collection for it...
There were also some pieces from the former Danish colonies to see.
In the exhibition on Greenland, a female polar bear told her life story in an animated film. However, it was quite strange that she pointed out that it didn't bother her at all if she were hunted and eaten because people would then have food and clothing...
In total, we spent almost five hours at the museum (with a coffee break).
But then it was too late for another planned exhibition visit. Instead, because it had stayed dry, we decided to take a walk through Christianshavn.
The district, intersected by canals, was created by Christian IV in 1618.
We strolled along the water to Vor Frelsers Kirke, whose 99-meter-high tower can be climbed via an external spiral staircase.
But we decided to skip that and instead wandered through the alleyways closer to the ground.
We also decided not to visit the alternative community of Christiania and strolled back to the center of Copenhagen.
There, we went to Strøget, one of the longest pedestrian streets in Europe.
So we ended the day with a stroll through the shopping street.
