Now we were out and about a lot in this area, but we really don't know anything. So off to the Ruhr Museum in Essen.
Fun fact in advance: The first university in the Ruhr area was founded in Bochum in 1965. Apparently, not much value was placed on education before that. Uneducated people ask fewer questions....
It's not difficult to become a miner... The 'Eiffel Tower of the Ruhr area'. Photographed from the endless escalator that leads to the museum. This is where dear Kruppe oppressed his workers. So, enough of the pot. We leave the Ruhr area with mixed feelings. The people are nice, the currywurst is good. But the industry still weighs on the mind. We probably won't come back. But it was definitely worth a trip.
Arrival at Elbe Camping near Hamburg
Four hours later, we arrived at Elbe Camping in beautiful weather. Feels like the last hippie stronghold in Germany. Located dreamily on the banks of the Elbe. Setting up is getting faster every time. Elbe towards the North Sea View towards Finkenwerder and the Port of Hamburg
